Children’s Programs

The following programs are available for classroom presentations to children Preschool through 8th Grade.

First Nighters

A field trip experience to live local concerts for children and teenagers.

A Child’s Introduction to Classical Music

An introduction to concert etiquette and the different instruments of the orchestra.  Children will hear the instruments performed and be able to touch and play them.

Bach in the Classroom

Introducing children to classical music through Bach.

Songs of Shakespeare

Incorporating Renaissance music into the plays of Shakespeare.

The Mathematics of Music

Teaching advanced concepts of math to Middle School students through music.

Opera in the Classroom

A singer will visit the classroom and tell the class the story of an opera, using them as the various characters.  The children will also hear one of the arias from the opera.
